Janine was a finalist representing the North East for the British Councils Young Visual Arts Entrepreneur award 2009. Janine is developing a collaborative exchange programme with the Slade School of art, London and Thailand and is one of the 5 artists representing Stoke-on-Trent as part of the Localised project with Staffordshire University with Poland and Lithuania in March 2011. Janine has recently returned from an Arts Council supported residency at ComPeung Northern Thailand and will be undertaking a British Council research visit to Mumbai India with AirSpace gallery later in 2011. The project will work in parthership with Chatterjee and Lal Gallery to develop international links with Mumbi and Stoke-on-Trent and to expand  the Factory Nights programme.

Janine was formerly freelance Public Art and Design Curator at Inspire Northumberland, hosted by Northumberland Council, Working closely with the Public Art and Design officer to deliver a number of high profile public art and design projects across the whole of Northumberland. This includes Sean Henrys 'Couple' sculpture at Newbiggin by the Sea. The first offshore sculpture in the UK and part an essential sea defence and the only DEFRA funded scheme in 2007 and 'Experiments in Fashion' working with the London College of Fashion, 40 young fashion designers in the region and Wayne Hemingway.
