New City Programme

The NEW CITY PROGRAMME was a 3 project Art Event initiated, coordinated and curated by rednile Projects Ltd. based in the Project Space in 56 Nile St. Sunniside, Sunderland and occurred during Jun-Oct 2007.

Among the programmes’ aims were to bring new artists to the area, open up art and artists practices, work with businesses, utilizing unused spaces in the city. The programme also built on redniles’ relationships with business in the area, that have developed since 2005 (from initiating projects such as re:gen and Space) and aimed to bring new people to the area, creating awareness of the redevelopment of Sunniside.
