Up to Now @ National Glass Centre, SunderlandCurated by rednile Projects Ltd 12 March – 24 June 2007
This exhibition brings together the work of Jessica Watts, Nichola Pemberton and Steve Wright. All artists base their practice in 2D and each have links with rednile, as a result of past projects or future developments. Jessica Watts, based in London, was one of three artists selected for ‘Space,’ a residency and exhibition held in businesses throughout Sunniside, Sunderland in November 2005. Nichola Pemberton, an artist who works in Patrick Studios, Leeds, has recently exhibited with rednile artists in ‘Temporary Address’ a major month-long art event in Blyth and Ashington in October 2006. Steve Wright is a painter based in Newcastle and was recently appointed to be on rednile’s Board of Directors. Click here for more information on the March-June exhibition programme at the National Glass Centre. In 2006, rednile Projects were offered the use of the visiting artists’ studio space in the National Glass Centre funded by Sunderland ARC. As a result, rednile have had an office to base their work from since July 2006.
